Metaplanet, which is currently working on the NFT-based P2E game project METAQ, launched a new fishing game Crypto Fishing on the 28th of March and began to target the P2E game market.
On the 28th, Metaplanet was launched as an open beta service for Crypto Fishing in 300 countries around the world. After that, after receiving user feedback and stabilization, it plans to continue with the official release in April 2022.
Crypto Fishing, a P2E game based on fishing, was developed based on HTML5 and can be executed directly from the MetaQ website without any downloads or installations. On the website, you can not only play the game, but also check the price of METAQ Coin and transaction information right away.
The game is played by moving to each area, catching various fish species, nurturing or trading them. Fishing is easily accomplished by touching the smartphone screen or clicking the mouse. The fishing success rate is high, and the fish species appearing in each area are composed differently, and it is characterized by having collection elements.
Each species can be traded on an exchange or used for display in a private aquarium. It will also be used to mine game tokens by combining highly efficient fish species. It is equipped with a P2E game element that strengthens equipment to catch high-grade fish species and acquires goods with the fish species obtained in this way.
Metaplanet plans to build a METAQ ecosystem by launching 20 types of P2E games of various genres this year, starting with the crypto Fishing open beta service and official launch. Information on the release of the next game will be disclosed in the first half of the year to materialize the P2E market penetration.
Currently, METAQ on Metaplanet is listed on ProBit Global and is actively trading.
